Thank you for enrolling on a Swim School course at Clements Hall Leisure Centre. To help each lesson run smoothly and in the interests of pupil safety, we ask that the following conditions be observed:
1. Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time for the start of the lesson. Be advised that the lessons run for 25 minutes plus a five minute “handover”.
2. Pupils must not enter the water prior to the start of the lesson.
3. Please ensure pupils have been to the toilet and showered prior to their lesson.
4. For safety reasons, please refrain from wearing any jewellery or watches.
5. We advise that all pupils wear correct swimwear.
6. A swimming hat must be worn. The colour of the swim hat denotes the standard of the pupil. The colour of the hat assists teachers with class recognition and safety, as well as maintaining basic hygiene.
7. Please ensure that your baby has received the correct vaccinations before participating in parent and baby classes.
8. Please note refunds will not be given for course non-attendance. A refund/credit may only be considered with a valid Doctor's Certificate.
9. Bookings are taken on a priority enrolment basis with existing customers given first choice. Each pupil will be given a report and class recommendation for the next swimming course. Please look at the Swim School Notice Board for dates of enrolment and procedures to follow.
10. Please note that the courses listed may be subject to change. Swim School reserves the right to alter or cancel classes at short notice.
11. Please note that the numbers in classes may vary. Swim School teachers can move pupils between classes according to the needs of the pupil. In the majority of classes, class sizes will confirm to the ASA National Plan.
12. Parents or Guardians of children under nine years of age are required to remain in the building during their children's lessons.
13. Cancellation Policy. Refunds/credits will only be given in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Manager. Any pupil leaving Swim School will forfeit their right to priority enrolment.
14. Medical Conditions. Any medical condition and/or behavioural difficulties must be stated clearly on the enrolment form.
15. Parents must ensure that babies wear swimming nappies whilst in swimming lessons.
16. If a child turns five years old in the term period then they can consider taking one of our membership options.
17. All cheques should be made payable to Virgin Active.
